Learn To Curl - Afternoon Clinic
Learn to Curl - Afternoon Clinic
Tuesday October 6, Wednesday October 7 and Thursday October 8, 2026
2:00 to 4:00 pm
No experience required
Registration opens 8:00 am September 5, 2026
Designed for beginners/new curlers only, our Learn to Curl program gives you everything you need to step confidently onto the ice and enjoy one of Canada's most beloved sports. Small groups, experienced instructors and a welcoming atmosphere make this the perfect introduction to the game.
What you'll learn:
- Proper stone delivery technique
- Effective sweeping and strategy
- Team roles, game etiquette and safety practices
- How to play a real game (on Day 3)
How it works:
- Three sessions of indoor instruction, on-ice practice and guided play
- Small groups led by experienced in-club instructors
- By the end you'll understand the game, have foundational skills and be ready to curl with confidence
- After each session: Our bar will be open and we invite you to stay and chat with our coaches and other curlers. Post-game socializing is a curling tradition we take seriously!
What to bring:
- Clean indoor running shoes (ideally, worn inside only) – we don’t want any grit on the ice.
- Helmet is recommended (any type of helmet will do - ski, bike or hockey). No hard front peak on the helmet is allowed.
- Warm, loose & comfortable clothing. Gloves that don’t slip. No long scarves.
